A little Update

Hello Everyone! :D

Sorry for not updating a little sooner! :) We have been pretty busy - we went to the lake (where I left off at! :) ), which was fun! :) I will start there, I guess! :D

Well, first off, Dad, Hannah, Dani, Greg, Amanda, Samuel, and I were the only people that came! :) The rest stayed at home. It was VERY relaxing! :D The first day we got there, it was pretty late in the afternoon. We immediately got into our swim suits, and I got in a kayak and that was fun! Skimming across the water is a lot of fun... you feel so relaxed! It was VERY nice to get away to the lake for that little bit! :) Peanut came too... she was barking the whole time we were all down at the water... :( Poor thing! :) Anyway, everyone got in the water, except for me! I don't especially like the water. But, I had fun in the kayak... After our little swim, we got some dinner ready... we had macaroni salad the girls had made at home, and some hamburgers, which dad grilled for us. After our dinner, we played some card games - Greg and dad did some card tricks. That was very fun! :) A lot of laughing was involved with that. Then, Dad read us out of Fox's Book of Martyrs. Then we all zonked off to sleep! :D

Next morning, we had blueberry waffles, eggs and bacon. We let the food settle in our stomachs, and we looked at the lake's picture albums... VERY fun! :D And then we all went out to the lake. I got in a kayak again, and I was on the VERGE of getting in, but I decided not to. I liked my kayak. We had a race, we didn't start at the same point though! :) Amanda won, then Greg, then myself! :) Good for Greg! He hadn't done it before! Plus, he was in a canoe... which was a little harder! :D Well, there was an exciting happening then! Dani, Hannah, Dad, and Samuel were all in a rowboat, and Greg was in the canoe. Well, Dad and Greg got into a splashing fight, and during that, someone managed to tip the rowboat over! (On accident, of course!) So, Samuel went under, and came right back up... screaming! :) The flipflops were floating away on the water, which we caught, but it must have been quite the experience! :) A little added excitement! :D After swimming, we all went up to the cabin for lunch. Then, we sat around.... and sat around... dad took a nap, it was a relaxing time! :D Well, the Altmeyer's (the owners of the lake cabin, and VERY good friends) came, and I actually got in the water!!! :) I jumped off the diving board, and I had a lot of fun. After we all finished swimming, we went inside, and we had hot chocolate, and played card games! It was a lot of fun! :) So, that's all about the lake! :) We had a VERY good time!

And yesterday... Greg had his graduation party! Oh my! It was VERY fun! So many people came, and I just can't really describe it. Greg gave a wonderful speech, mom got up and made a little speech, he had his table with photos, and music fest medals, and and a whole bunch of stuff. And many, many dear friends came, and it was a MUCH better turn-out then any of us expected. It was fun to fellowship, and talk, and eat (Haha! :) ), and I served carrot cake! :) We had delicious homemade (sort of!) punch! I can tell you the secret recipe! :)

Mix those together! It's SO good! :D And today, I'm not sure what we are doing, but I hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

Quick update

Hello All!

Sorry I haven't posted for awhile! :) We are busy with our chicks and all!! :) They are VERY cute!

Well, on Monday, we went to Silverwood, in Idaho. We will have to post pictures later. And today, Dad, Greg, Dani, Amanda, Hannah, Samuel and myself are all going to go up to Idaho to go spend today, and part of tomorrow up at a lake cabin!! That should be extremely fun! :) I'm very excited!!!

Exciting Happenings!!!

Hello Everyone!!

I'm sorry about not writing more often!!! Keep checking our blog though!!! :) Anyway... Well! :) Exciting news around here!!!

First, today, we are going huckleberry picking up in Spokane with a couple families from church. That should be fun!!! And secondly, we have a VERY busy month this month, so please forgive us if we don't post much!!!! I'll try to keep up with the blogging though! :)

Well, 2 chicks have hatched at our farm!!!!!!!! They are both SO adorable!! We have a black and white one (I don't recall the breed of the chicken!), that hatched one chick, and then we have an ollld yellow chicken (she's about 4 or 5) that just hatched a chick this morning! She's sitting on a TON more eggs, so we might have a bunch of chicks on the way!!! So, we are VERY excited about all this going on!!! :) VERY exciting!!!

Well, I have to go now, we are supposed to leave in 10 minutes!!!! We will try and blog more soon!!!

Hannah's Birthday!!

I just wanted to say that today is Hannah's 7th birthday! I thought it would be special for her if any of you would like to write her a little note on our email (hahnergirls@gmail.com) if you don't mind! :) She would love that!



I'm not sure what all we are doing today... I think she wants to play some games and do a scavenger hunt, so it will be a fun day!!

A little Update

Hello!

Well, these past few days have been quite busy, and SO much fun. During these times, forgive us! We forgot to take pictures! But, I will try my best to explain what went on during the past few days without pictures!! :) Anyway!

Monday- ~Nothing really happened, but I made a mint milkshake for Greg and Dad, and only a FEW bites were taken, just to try it! :)

Tuesday- ~We had music lessons up in Spokane. That takes up a lot of time, from about 1:30 to 4:30. But we had a good time up there.

Wednesday- ~We clipped the chickens wings! Amanda, Mom and I did that. Anyway, Amanda and I were having a contest to see who could catch the most! The score came out: Me - 10, and Amanda - 8. It was all in all fun. But, we caught some chickens in-between then. So, we have 24 chickens, I think! :) It was quite the fun time though! :) Also, during the afternoon, I took some pictures of some butterflies that were just hanging out!! :) So, I WILL post some of those pictures!! :) I ended up taking 200+ pictures, that a BUNCH of them I deleted. Anyway, I also was taking pictures of the hummingbirds! That was fun. I will also post some of those. We went to the garden, and we planted some raspberries! Yeah! hopefully they work! They are wilting a bit, but hopefully they will spring back up again! :) We had piano lessons also. My lesson was very good. I had a lot of fun this lesson! :)

Thursday- ~We worked in the garden in the morning, it was still hot though! It was quite hot, actually! Mom, Amanda and Hannah went to town for the day, and dad was at work, so Greg, Dani, and I were in charge! :) Everything went smoothly, and I made another milkshake, just for Greg, Dani and I, since the little kids were in rest time! :) It was VERY good! That recipe is a keeper! :)

Friday- ~We worked in the garden some more! :) On a roll! :) We had some dear friends over, the Altmeyer family. But only Jenna (15), and Abby (13) and their mother came. It was a lot of fun. We went swimming with them in the afternoon til around 3:00. It was a LOT of fun! :) We went to the Rosalia pool, and we went on the two little slides, and Dani went off the diving board!! We just had a lot of fun, playing games, and stuff like that. It was a wonderful time. Later in the evening, our cousin, Stephanie came, and our other cousin Christa, and Aunt Ronda dropped her off. They ended up staying for dinner. We had made cookies also, so we had those for dessert!! :) That was a lot of fun. Pretty soon after dinner, Christa and Aunt Ronda left, and Stephi stayed the night! We watched an IBLP (Institute of Basic Life Principles) video, which was very good. The girls milked the goats, since they had already seen that video. Just Stephi and I watched it. It was VERY good! After we finished there, we went out and played croquet! I won! It was a VERY fun game though. Playing it with Stephi, and all!

Saturday- ~We canned peaches, and made apricot leather. It was very fun doing that with Stephi. I got a call from Irie, which very much made me happy! Then for lunch, we had - scones, and turkey sandwiches!! :) Doesn't sound very good, but it was VERY good! We made homemade strawberry jam with the scones, and that made them taste even better! It was VERY fun! Then , for a BIG part of the afternoon, we played Telephone Pictionary. It's a little hard to explain, but I will try! You start out with as many papers as you have players, and then on the first paper, you write a phrase: "Dani takes a picture of a bed". So then you pass that to the next person, and they try and draw that, then they pass THAT to the next person, and they write what they think the picture is, and so on. And during that, you get to draw and write, and it's just a whole lot of fun. We came up with some pretty interesting ones! They are VERY fun! We also had a delicious Tea Cake for a little snack! It was very delightful! We had some lemonade to go with that! It was a good time! We weren't hungry for dinner, so I just had peaches!! :) I did dishes, and then we watched a movie! It was a fun evening.

Sunday- ~We had a wonderful time with Stephi, our last day. :( We went to church, and we brought Shredder with us. Well, I had to sit in the back with Shredder, because if we didn't stay with him, then he would whine very loudly, and bark... so I stayed back with him, and I didn't hear the sermon very well. :( After church, we had fellowship, then we went to a friend's house for the day. Oh my! It was SO much fun. We talked with Jordan, their 18-year old daughter. It was very fun. We also played a big long game of croquet. I won that game. It was REALLY enjoyable!

Monday- ~Yesterday, we played for the elderly people at the nursing home for about a 1/2 an hour. It's a good way to serve them, and the LORD. When we came back home, we had a pretty normal day!! :) Dani, Amanda and I watched an IBLP video that we had missed. So, now we are all caught up on our books!

And today, we have lessons up in Spokane. I hope you have enjoyed this update!

Sister Tea Time

Dear Ladies,

My sisters and I, the other day, thought it would be fun to have a tea party, just in our room. So we set up a table and took some pictures of the fun we had! This is a fun thing to do to include younger sisters as well, and I know that the more quality time you spend with your siblings, the relationships will grow, and having fun and laughing together really makes us sisters closer and just creates good memories! :)

Emily was our "hostess" since she was the one who thought up the tea party idea for that day, so we got pictures of her pouring tea for each of us! :)

Croquet

As most of the family, (Mom was inside with Leah and Rebekah) we were playing croquet outside in the warm weather, just having fun. Here are some pictures of that! :) I only forgot to take a separate picture of Hannah. :(


Shredder wanted to play too! :) We didn't let him chew on the mallet really.
