Before we leave...

We all are preparing for our big trip (we are leaving in 5 days!!!). Please pray for us as we prepare to play music to the glory of God and we hope to bless the people there. We seek to be a light to the world, and we are excited to travel together as a family. We've been very busy with quite a few things though this month!

Here are a few things we have been doing in the meantime:

our Future Christian Homemakers Class for young ladies

Leah and a friend

Sweet Sisters
Here is part of our group
Amanda taught the girls how to make napkin roses
We had a Bible Study as well
Measuring milk together for the quick bread we made

Working together
(Emily was sick this day, and so was not able to help the girls out)

We've also just completed our last recording session, which was very exciting. We spent our last day singing since we had all the music tracks laid down!

Greg about to sing

Me (strange shadow there)

Amanda, enjoying their dog (he was a sweetie!) as others worked on their parts
Emily did some BEAUTIFUL piano playing

I was doing some back-up here
Amanda, about to record

Greg, rehearsing a solo before recording it. :) Greg plays amazing guitar!!!!

Emily enjoyed their dog too! :)

Dad enjoyed the day he got to come and listen in as we worked on putting this CD together :)
We also took a trip to the dentist before going on our trip to Arizona. Leah LOVED it!!! :)
Sam was scared at first, but really liked holding "Mr. Thirsty" as they call it.
Bekah was anxious to have her cleaning
Leah and Amanda both had appointments this day (we have to get our appointments in turns- they can't do all of us on the same day!) Leah liked the sunglasses I think!
We had a hymn sing a while back with some friends, and Greg is our wonderful piano player (He has a little friend there!) :)
Singing hymns is such a blessing, especially with a group of people!

I think Leah wants to learn piano... BIG pieces! She looks ready!
Sam is growing some new teeth in. Getting older...
Emily is SUCH a wonderful sister <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3sdDD_v60dULfRB0g9p4PBeT4W4O9mhHcHzBVDItINAUeMiT20HglF4xM1qekG1Z2fq9JoAkE6YJ6NeXFouOiPlfAt481Zrs01TQ9vHz7-v_65xXGH__wiNem5zHHJfHCU46hX0jNcwrZ/s1600/IMG_0837.JPG"> Everywhere she goes, Bekah seems to have a kitty!
We three were working on our dresses for Arizona!! It's so much fun to do things together. Sisters are the BEST friends a girl can EVER have!!! LOVE YOU, Girls!!!
A cute little boy I babysit on occasion
Peanut loves anyone who will snuggle with her and give her some pets
Leah got up one morning and as a few of us were sitting around talking, Leah had a drink and sat down in a chair, put up her leg and relaxed!!! :) She does some pretty cute things <3 onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNbGDj5OOdjezOmFI_E8cDmg199jbSLH5wp-5tN8W6skG630xmO1kCwZJOEKMWmmgY0lh8ZgYuVrlttVcC0fRS_1J1eCmv_-jtxtCcVI9hmtdnbBmNoi1jxCEi-CFJdzZ7mDrlR5bdKEVq/s1600/P1090621.JPG">Hannah is practicing hard on the solo she's doing for Arizona. She's doing such a great job!!!
Brothers are such a treasure. Never take them for granted! God has given me a huge blessing in Greg!!!!! Love you, Greg!

This month has been a very busy time already, and the LORD has been teaching me some exciting things in His Word. I would like to share a few verses that the LORD has impressed on my the last week.

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are young." ~Isaiah 40:11

"I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth His life for the sheep... My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me:" ~John 10:11,27

"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." ~2 Corinthians 12:9

"Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: Come before His presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD He is God: it is He that hath made us, and not we ourselves: we are His people, and the sheep of His pasture." ~Psalm 100:1-3

I hope these verses are encouraging to you as they were to me.

Many Blessings,

~Dani

January Happenings

We hope you all are having a blessed January 2011. We are preparing for our upcoming trip to Arizona this month. It's hard to believe that we're leaving in less than 2 weeks, Lord-willing! We have been sewing matching outfits for our trip. We are also trying to put together our second CD before we leave. Our first recording was on Tuesday from 10 am to 7:30 pm!! It was a long day, but well worth the time spent. We go back Friday and Saturday to try and complete our CD, so we would greatly appreciate your prayers. There is so much to do before we leave, and it seems so overwhelming, but we find comfort in this verse, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." ~2 Corinthians 12:9a
