Life has been extremely busy the past few weeks, and computer has not been my priority, but I had a few minutes and wanted to share about my special brother who just had a birthday yesterday.
Greg is 19 now, and for these 17 years I have known him (since I'm 17!:), I have come to realize more and more how blessed by God I am to have such an amazing brother as Greg! His heart for God is inspiring to me, and his understanding of the Word gives me excitement, and just to have his encouragement with me all the time, and to spend time together... I am SO blessed!!! It has been my desire to grow our relationship closer the past few years, as the LORD has shown me how important that is, and I see God's hand in our lives. Greg and I have had a lot of time to talk and be together, and I would not trade that time for any other activity. As the years go on, I look forward to our growing relationship, and I'm excited to see where the LORD will bring us. Music has brought us as a family together a lot more, having us work together to blend harmonies in hymns and putting together parts for songs to minister to people. Greg has a love of music, and a God given talent that amazes me!!! :) God has opened a lot of doors for us to use our music to play for others, which has been exciting, especially when Greg wants to practice together and we all get into the mood, we have lots of fun! :)
Yesterday, we had kind of a laid back day which was fine with Greg. We started out with a yummy breakfast: Quiche, Muffins and Orange Julius! I can share the recipes if you would like! (Emily took pictures of the food :), so she'll have to post her pictures). We all ate together as a family which was nice for breakfast since it does not happen too often. After eating, we all kind of did some normal things, but during the day, Greg and I had some special bonding time :) doing some fun things together. :) As a family, we played a game, "Last Word" I think it's called, which every one enjoyed. Dinner was thai food by Greg's request, and then presents. Here is a picture of Greg in the evening! :) He looks a little worn out :).
Sweet Sam had wrapped some of his own presents for Greg, and he was SO excited for Greg to open them!!! It was SO cute!! He had an excited smile and wrote Greg's name on all the papers!!! I thought it was very sweet. He worked hard to decorate his presents too.
I got kind of a funny face on Greg as he hugged Sam, but it was sweet! :)
Then Rebekah had a turn to give Greg her special hand made presents!! She was extremely excited as well for Greg to see her pictures and open something from HER!!!
Look at her face! :)
Awwwww....
Sweet!
They loved Greg exclaiming about their pictures and asking about them! :) We got this all on video too!
Leah and Mom enjoying the "party" too! :)
Emily was our recorder! :) She is very good at those things! Having fun too.
Manda looking on! :)
Dad and Hannah were there too, but I didn't get a good picture of them. :( But Emily might of! :)
But I DID get a picture of Hannah the night before when we went to my Grandparents (next door) for a little cake and just a visit together so they could take part in Greg's birthday too.
Manda took a picture of me posing! :)
And Greg with his cake from the night before at Grandpa and Grandma's! :)
We all had a special day and I hope Greg was blessed. I am SO thankful to the LORD that I have such a loving sweet brother, and I look forward to the years ahead of us as we continue to grow in our relationship and serve the LORD together as a family!
May the LORD be glorified,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Greg!!
