Bible Treasures

Hello, Ladies!!!

I was reading in my Bible this morning in Proverbs 11, and I have been hearing lately in our morning devotions and at church too, that godly counsel, especially for a young person is vital for a successful Christian walk. "Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counellors there is safety." (Prov. 11:14). This includes receiving correction from them when we are wrong with meekness and thankfulness. I know that it is not always easy for me when I have been corrected, but it requires a humble spirit that is willing to listen and change. We need to have soft and changeable hearts in the hands of our Creator and let Him shape and mold us in His image, which reminds me of one of my favorite verses in Isaiah I read recently, "But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand." (Isa. 64:8) Several of these things have been playing through in my mind, and as 1 Peter says, "But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation: Because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy." (1 Peter 1:15-16) this is my true desire. But nothing can be changed in my life for good on my own. Only through Christ can we gain the victory, accept correction with a humble spirit, receive counsel with thankfulness, knowing that we are not wise in our own ways, but we must be changeable in the Hands of Christ, and seek His holiness for our lives, knowing that He gives the victory. Let us strive for more Christ-likeness today as we seek to reflect Him!!! "But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory though our LORD Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the LORD." (1 Corinthians 15:57-58).
Blessings to you all,
