Family Trip

A few weeks ago, our family had an opportunity to spend a weekend together at a lovely resort not too far from home. It was a wonderful get-away, and a few friends and family helped take care of animals to make this trip possible. We are so thankful!! The LORD really blessed that family time and we made many special and meaningful memories there. That was a perfect time of refreshing family time, and we had so much fun together. Family is definitely a gift from God!
"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning."~James 1:17

We wanted to share some pictures with you of our special trip.

What a treat - the first evening, we all went out to eat at a Chinese restaurant. That was a special occasion, since eating out with 10 is not always cheap!

We thought the rugged stair step look was kind of fun. Sisters are the BEST friends ever!! <3

The twins
Leah actually took this one for us. She has possibly learned some photo techniques and angles from Greg!! :) (She is only 4)

On our first walk the next morning, we found a beautiful mini beach. We had fun taking some pictures there.
Best of Friends

The little ones were intrigued by finding some black and orange fuzzy caterpillars.
Miniature golf was a highlight to part of our trip. It was a creative course with cute buildings and mini waterfalls. :)

One of the best times we had together was experiencing our FIRST family bike ride with all 1o of us. We have never tried that before, but the trail was beautiful and we had a special refreshing ride.

Leah especially loved the ride, not having to work at all. :) Cutie!

Dad gave Amanda and Emily a lesson on grilling hamburgers. We had to ask for the grilling spatula from the front desk, and I had an opportunity to bless this lady who did not seem to be having a very good day. Although she laughed at me, I felt prompted to remind her of the Savior. We want to obey those little promptings from the LORD - even if they make us uncomfortable. We are called to be salt and light to the world and not to hide our light, but we must make use of every opportunity God allows in our lives. We must be bold for the cause of Christ.

We went on a couple bike rides. This one, the little ones stayed at the condo, playing in the sand with Dad as the rest of us traveled a more difficult path! Good exercise!

We enjoyed some of the activities they had in the little park there. It was fun to see Dad and Greg compete. :)
This was a favorite spot during our trip.
Leah asked Dad to race her to the bottom of the slide!!! :) Guess who won?

Those are just a few highlights from our weekend together. We spent some wonderful hours discussing different topics, reading God's Word together, praying, listening to a convicting sermon, talking, and many other memorable activities. The LORD just blessed our time together. We must make use of the hours we are blessed with- we have no idea how much time we have together on this earth. May we grow in the relationships God has given us to work on and learn to appreciate the most important people around us - our FAMILY!

May the LORD bless and keep you as you invest your lives in your family and seek to serve Him with your whole heart as you live day by day for our Savior.

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. (Luke 16:10)

Blessings to you,
~Dani
