This morning after breakfast, each of us shared a verse we found about thanksgiving or giving thanks, so I wanted to share a few with you.
" Rejoice in the LORD, ye righteous; and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness."~ Psalm 97:12
"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him" Colossians 3: 15-17 "At midnight I will rise to give thanks unto thee because of thy righteous judgments." ~Psalm 119:62 We have so much to be thankful for, and I am often reminded that we are to be thankful in ALL things. This morning in my reading, I read Hebrews 7. A few verses that stuck out to me were the last four. I am so thankful for salvation through Jesus Christ! "25Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 26For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; 27Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore." ~Hebrews 7: 25-28 May the Lord bless your day! ~Amanda |
