- They both follow the Lord and are guiding their children in His ways! They are faithful to seek direction from the Lord and to carry through with what He is telling them to do.
- They homeschool us! I am so thankful that they made that decision in the very beginning, and that they have been faithful in continuing it through the years, even when it is difficult. And it is so much more than academics-- it is home discipleship!
- They desire to have relationships with all of us children! Whether it is talking together, working together, reading together, playing music together or planning a special family time, they desire closer relationships with us, and for us to have close relationships with each member of our family.
- They love to talk to us! Dad and Mom want to know our hearts, our desires, our dreams, and how we are doing in our relationship with the Lord and our family members. They are always there to offer prayer and guidance!
- They are faithful to correct us! Even though it is not always pleasant or easy, I am so grateful for their gentle correction throughout the years. Where would we be without wise parents to show us where we need more work?
- They pray for us! What a blessing to know that your parents are praying for you! I am so thankful for Godly parents who desire to see us following wholeheartedly after the Lord, and who lift us up in prayer daily.
There is so much more that I could write, but those are a few of the many things that I am thankful for in my parents. I would encourage you to seek out ways to bless your parents-- they do so much for us!
"The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage." ~Psalm 16:6
We love you, Dad and Mom!
