We were very blessed to attend this ladies' tea with some of our dear friends from our area. Dani, Amanda, Hannah and I went early to help make some of the food and do whatever else needed to be done! I ended up helping with the flower arranging. :)
Amanda WAS helping too - but in this case, she was taking the picture. Hannah was in the upstairs kitchen, helping the R. girl that is around her age.We were having a flower arranging contest that - thankfully - never got judged. :) I'm also glad you can't really see my vase! :)
The tea started at 1:30. Mrs. R. opened our time with prayer, and then we sang a song together. Lunch was then served, along with your choice of iced green tea or chilled peppermint tea. During tea, we had a time of sharing and fellowship. Thank you, R. ladies, for putting all the effort into the food, decor, and all the other little details that went into this delightful tea!
The table was laden with many delightful cups and saucers.
I was delightfully surprised when this delicate butterfly landed on the flowers here. I grabbed my camera as fast as I could and shot. :)
This was the ladies' table - complete with name-cards, doilies, and dried flower petals scattered on the table.
This was the little ladies' table. :)
And one of the little ladies! :)
Thank you again, R. family for all the work you put into that to make it such a memorable time! Blessings to you!
Thank you for posting about the tea! We O. ladies would have loved to come, but we had other things to do (like violin lessons at 3:00). Hopefully another time we can come! The R. ladies do a wonderful job with tea parties - every time we've gone to their house we've had one (or two)!
ReplyDeleteGood post and pictures, Emily!
