Little Update

LORD has done great things for us - His mercies are new every morning! His faithfulness is demonstrated in every day and the blessings He pours out on us are refreshing and renewing

The LORD has taught me so much these last few weeks - I would like to share a little with you as I share some pictures from our home. I have been learning about trusting in the LORD and relying on His unchangeable character. There was a time when many things seemed to be out of control and I was wondering how everything would work out - I was reminded right then that even when things in life seem to be failing, I can TRUST and KNOW that God will never let me down; He will never leave me alone; His lovingkindness is great toward me and I need not fear for He is TRUSTWORTHY! I have read many verses in Psalms that have confirmed these promises. "Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast." ~Psalm 33:8-9

Several other verses that have stood out to me:  "Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee." ~Psalm 33:20-22 "Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. Thy righteousness is like the great mountains; Thy judgements are a great deep: O LORD, thou preservest man and beast. How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings." ~Psalm 36:5-7

I was challenged by the message shared on Sunday. I was reminded to evaluate my attitude toward discipline from the LORD - am I praising God in the midst of things I don't understand? I am not in control, so what ever storm I am in, I know the LORD will give me everything I need to get through. Am I giving thanks in EVERYTHING like 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I was encouraged to count my blessings and remember to verbally praise my Redeemer for ALL He allows in my life, for it has a purpose, even if I can't see it. By giving thanks, this shows a submissive and willing spirit for all the LORD would have me experience.

We talked about faith - it is what we STAND on and are saved by IF we don't forget the words of the gospel, lest we should labor in vain. Have I done anything that was wasted effort? To not labor in vain, I must abound in the work of the LORD... And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.  ~John 6:39...BELIEVE!

We will lose our joy IF we do not MEDITATE in God's Word! How I have found this to be true. I have noticed the difference in my day if I have a focused, intimate time with Jesus! When I am distracted though, I notice I do not feel as fed and ready for the day. When I meditate on God’s Word and let it be PART OF MY LIFE and I am in prayer throughout the day, the LORD helps me to respond to trials and the daily circumstances much differently than when I try in my own strength to jump the hurdles in life.

Dad and Mom celebrated 26 years together this last week and we had a little family party for the twins' 8th birthday! What blessings God has poured out on us!

May the LORD bless and refresh you all as you seek to know your Savior more and open up His Word! He deserves our time and praise.
Because of Christ,
~Dani
