We have arrived safely in Arizona with incredible weather for traveling. Thank you all for your faithful prayers for us. We have enjoyed our car trip, the fellowship, the laughing, singing hymns on the road, the beautiful creation around us even amid all the scrub brush and dry desert. There is beauty in everything God has created, even if we become very familiar with our similar surroundings. I can't share pictures yet, but we hope to be faithful to post plenty along our way. The first motel we stayed in, we were thankful for a place to sleep... if you can call waking up every twenty minutes sleep. We had some noisy neighbours which kept the girls awake from 2:00-5:00 and by the time we were about to get up, they went to bed. But you know, even with both Dad and Mom, our main drivers, getting very little sleep as well, their whole day of hours of driving God blessed with energy and joy. I am also dry blessed and inspired by my faithful Daddy who is trusting the Lord in all things. There was a little accident at the gas pump on the second day - the trailer is quite long and the turn wad taken a little short, causing some damage on the back of the fifth wheel. But my Daddy's response as we were looking on and praying was thankfulness and lots of praying. It's incredible - there was so little damage done, just a few scrapes and very minor breaks, where very easily there could have been much worse done. Anyways, we all were very grateful for the Lord looking out for us and for the things He is constantly teaching us along the way already. The adventure is just beginning! I only have a moment before we have to pack up and take another 4 hour drive to our first first RV park we are playing at on Wednesday night. But I was blessed by this verse this morning : "I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth." - Psalm 34:1
Blessings, Dani
So excited to hear from you, Dani, and I'm so glad that your trip is going good so far, and y'all are safely in Arizona - praises to our Father!! Hope all goes well tomorrow night and throughout your whole journey :), and may YHWH continue to teach and encourage you, as you desire to follow His leadings!
ReplyDeleteOh, sorry about the trailer damage! But praise Him that more was not done! We, fairly recently, hit a cow in the road with our van, which was quite the experiance. But praise the LORD, only the front corner was pushing in a little and the chrome around the light broke (which all actually doesn't look too bad :), and the cow got up and went off the road! :) Isn't His protection, amazing?! He's always watching over us - there's no need to worry. Just trust in Him!
Many blessings to you and all your family!
Love,
