Times of Refreshment

I want to thank you all for your continual prayers and encouragement here on the blog. It's hard to keep updated with moving around and not having definite internet, but I'll try to do a little catch up here. Mom is doing a great job on our other family band blog, so you can read more here

In between our music programs, we've had a special time to enjoy the warm Arizona weather, doing more hiking than we've ever done during our time down here! This picture doesn't really show the size of "black rock mountain" we climbed, but it was a fun trail!

"The LORD by wisdom hath founded the earth: by understanding hath he established the heavens. by his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew." ~ Proverbs 3:19-20

Mr. Krell is always prepared for any situation. He became our "trail doctor" as Hannah called him :) and he actually was able to use a few things in his backpack along the trial...

"Thou art my portion, O LORD: I have said that I would keep thy words." ~Psalm 119:57

What good sports - the children climbed very well and had cheerful attitudes. It's always more fun when complaining is absent and you can all walk together with joy in your hearts!

"Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment." ~ 1 Corinthians 1:10

I read here this morning in my time with the LORD and was blessed, thinking how I desire this to be played out as our family ministers through our music - that we would be unified in purpose and heart, to bring glory to our Savior!

I am so grateful for my brother. Greg and I have grown in relationship so much in the last few years, and I am just so thankful to the LORD for the openness we have and that I can trust my thoughts and struggles with my brother.

"Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it. " ~ Proverbs 3:27

Yes, there were 3 people who got cactus stuck to their shoes on our little hike that one day! :)

"Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah" ~Psalm 62:8

This has always been on of my favorite verses, just an INVITATION to pour out my thoughts, concerns, excitements, loves, hardships - my everything to my Savior! How blessed I am to serve the living God!

Yay!! We made it to the top! It was a beautiful view from the top, to view the surrounding RV parks, little hills and foliage.

"Thou hast dealt well thy servant, O LORD, according unto thy word." ~Psalm 119:65

What a gorgeous day for a hike. Mom and I got an opportunity to talk on the way down, sharing our hearts, struggles and victories. :) It is so good to have a mother who is such a good listener and to cultivate that close relationship. I truly don't know what I'd do without my wonderful, wise mother!

"O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever: Praise ye the LORD." ~Psalm 117

Mr. Krell always brings a special joy and always a laugh with him! We are so grateful for our faithful bass player.

"Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield." ~Psalm 115:11

Family is such a blessing. Daddy didn't join us on this hike as he had some work to do for his business, but we have enjoyed so much refreshing family time during this trip that has just drawn our hearts closer together through all the experiences.

The new black and white outfits are so fun for a change!

"Even as the son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." ~ Matthew 20:28

They had the lighting bad in this building, but it was a great program. Even when the crowd seems small, the purpose we sing and play our music is for God's glory, so it really doesn't matter what size the crowd is!

"And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD." ~Psalm 40:3
This is my prayer, that as we share our music, new and old songs, that the LORD would be magnified, that people would hear the gospel message loud and clear and that they would be moved to desire to KNOW our Savior that we serve!

One afternoon, several of us got to go thrift store shopping for about an hour! It was a fun time, as we don't do that too often. I think the girls were excited.

"Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies." ~ Psalm 108:13

One of our favorite parks to play and stay at is Saddle Mountain RV! We were so grateful to pull in on the 5th and had a great program there that evening. The people are SO friendly and encouraging to us. Always welcoming and excited to have us there.

"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;" ~ Psalm 103:3-4

Leah has done a great job on her individual songs for our program. Her sweet smile and loveable spirit are a joy to all those older people! We also are praising God for the great health we've had during this whole trip! Praise God for His great mercies to our family.

"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy." ~ Psalm 103:8

Daddy came up for his bass song! It is so neat to see how everyone has a part in the family ministry. We couldn't do it without all the pieces. It reminds me of the body of Christ - we all have a part to fill and no one can be replaced. When we work together, we can be complete in Christ and minister to those around us.

"Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular." ~1 Corinthians 12:27

My Grandparents came for a surprise visit for my birthday - it was such a blessing! :) It was so nice to have them here. Our little Peanut enjoys Grandpa a lot!

"I will run in the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart." ~Psalm 119:32

It was so fun to go out to Cracker Barrel for lunch the other day. We had a good time of visiting!

"Let not my mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: so shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man." ~Proverbs 3:3-4

We got a family picture that evening, thanks to Fab! These are the outfits! :)

We have a program tonight that is about 45 minutes from our park here, so I should go help and get ready, but I wanted to do a quick update here. Thank you again for checking on us and for your prayers.
