Strawberry picking!

Hello Ladies!!!

Today was rather busy! :) We had a busy morning! First of all, the 3 of us girls got up at 6:30, and we read our bibles. Then I went out and milked the goats! It has been fun to do lately, not that I can actually aim it into the bucket!!! :) Actually, I haven't made a mess for quite awhile, and the goats are now cooperating much better! But, after I milked the goats, Mom, Dani, Amanda and I all went to Greenbluff to pick strawberries! We got a really good deal - 99 cent a pound! So, we went with a friend from church, Mrs. Sampson. She's really sweet, and very fun to talk to! So, we had a wonderful time with her, and we got 9 boxes, and each box was 10 lbs! So it was quite fun! We had a wonderful time!!!! All of us had great fun on the way back home, and there was lots of laughing! It was a wonderful time, but I took a short nap after we got home! Reading a book helped me fall asleep! It works! Not that the book is boring, but it helped a lot. We had a blast, and now all the work is ahead of us.... :)

POWER OUTAGE!!!

Alright... sorry it has been a little while. We had a power outage on FATHER'S DAY!!! During dinner.... poof! It went off just like that! It was quite surprising. It wasn't storming or anything... the wind was blowing like crazy though...
We were planning on watching Anne of Green Gables, but the power didn't come back on! So, it got dark, and we stayed up playing games. We all guessed the power would come back on right when we were going to bed. But, we played, had our solar lamps, and our lanterns on. We brushed our teeth, and right before we all went to bed... BEEEP! The power came back on! It was REALLY ridiculous. That was really bad. It was pretty disappointing! Oh well...
Oh dear... Greg is going to be graduating really soon! I wish I was the one that was graduating!!! :)
But, we went to a graduation tonight. We only stayed for the BBQ!!! It was pretty fun. Someone made these REALLY delicious chocolate chip cookies! They were really good! :)

Oh, also, all week, we've had VBA (Vacation Bible Adventure)!!! It was really fun. The max age was 14, so Dani helped in the preschool. Amanda and I did the class! It was really fun! I was glad I went!
Well, that's just a little update on how my life has been! Hopefully you girls are all doing well!! :)

Rabbits all around!

Oh dear, ladies... it has been awhile... Sorry about that! OK.... news around here.

We lost Rex... well, he got out of his cage 4 days ago, and for 4 days, we were really worried. But this morning, our Uncle Dan found him down in the shed! It was pretty neat though! Thank Jesus that we found him. He is a pretty nice rabbit, probably our most friendly rabbit....

AND! Some exciting news about the rabbits! Our little rabbit had TWELVE 12 TWELVE babies! I couldn't BELIEVE it! Our others had 7, and one had 8, but 12!!! It was SO cool! They are all still alive, and they are almost a week old (tomorrow!)

We are actually having the lady (and her husband) that sold us all our rabbits (or all except for one that is!) over tonight for dinner! All of our family has only seen them once, and that was only for a brief period of time, to pick up a rabbit! So, it should be fun to see them, and learn a little bit more about them. I think it will be fun. Dani and I just made some dessert, and I made a pie for tomorrow! FATHER'S day! :) I'm very excited!

I want to keep this all about rabbits, so that's just a quick update of our life so far! :)

Hello Ladies,

Today, Mom and Amanda are in town, getting groceries and stuff. Dani and I are right now just relaxing! Hannah, the twins and Leah are playing right now, and we are very relaxed. I thought I would just post a cute picture of a lamp that I got on my Grandma day! :) Tomorrow, Amanda is going for hers! :)

my...my...my...

Oh dear... how time flies! This has been 4 days already! It seems like I JUST updated it!!! Oh well...

On Saturday... the 4 of us older children played at a Car Show in Latah (a small town just 15 minutes away...), for about an hour and 45 minutes. It went really well, and I had an almost good time! It was just pretty cold... BRRR! :) My fingers were really cold, and we had to play faster on those strings to warm them up! :)

After church yesterday, we had the pastor and his family come down to our house, and that was really fun. We talked, talked, and talked! :) It was a lot of fun, let me tell you! :) Maybe just talking a bunch sounds boring, but their family is so funny, that it made talking really fun! :) Anyway...

Today, I'm not sure what everyone is doing, but today, I (Emily) am going on a Grandma day! It's just a whole day that we can spend with Grandma... it's a lot of fun. Well, talk to you all later! :)

Hello Ladies!

I see it's about time to have a new blog post, is it not? :) Oh my... lately, our life has been "farming"! :) We have been taking care of our animals and such. Right now, most of my family is in town... Mom, Dani, Hannah, Samuel, Rebekah and Leah. Dad, Greg, Amanda and I are all home! :) Amanda is writing a letter, and Greg and dad went to Pullman to have Greg take his drivers test! I hope all goes well! :)

We will try and post pictures very soon, if not right now, but dad has been moving our pictures to a different computer, so maybe I can find them and post some! :) I hope all is well with you all! What have you girls been doing?

Oh dear!

Oh dear!! Happy Sunday, ladies!! How was church today?? We had a wonderful church today. We also had a potluck after church. That was VERY fun. Oh my... over the course of the time we have written last.... :) We have gotten two new goats! We have 2 new LaMancha goats, one that is milking, and the other is just a baby girl! She's ADORABLE! I will try and take pictures soon, and post them! We just got a bonus that allows us to upload 4 more pictures this week, so I will try and do that!!! :) This morning, our adult LaMancha (her name is "Ober Da Rainbow"... kinda strange... I think the owners before that had one of their kids name it or something.... I think we are going to change it! :) ), got out! She is a wild goat, still VERY skiddish, and uneasy... she got out, and was running all over, and no one could catch her! Well, Amanda saved the day! :) She was able to catch her by the neck, and we led her to get milked! She is a bad one though... :) Hopefully she will tame up soon. When we got home, we read for a bit, then I made pancakes for dinner, and we are going to go eat them now! :) Have a good night, ladies! :)

Today

Hello Ladies!

Here we go again! Today was fairly busy with things that needed to get done. This afternoon, we had Mr. Krell (he helps us with band practice... he plays base, guitar, and mandolin!) over for band practice for Thursday (we are playing at a hotel on Thursday! AHHHH!), and it went really well. I had a LOT of fun!! :) We went on a small bike ride with Hannah, and other stuff! I baked a lemon cake today (that was interesting!), and now it is in the fridge! :) There were other minor things, like taking care of the animals, doing dishes, chores, gardening, taking Leah outside, and day was filled! Yes, about gardening!!! We (Amanda and I) planted some flowers (I forget the name!) that spread! Fun fun fun!

Oh yes, and I just finished milking the goat a few minutes ago! She gave almost 5 cups! Yeah! Good girl!

And now, Greg, Dani, and Amanda all went to jam sessions, so now Mom, Hannah, and I are here by ourselves! With of course, Leah!! The children are up at Uncle Dan and Aunt Kathy's (they live right next door) for a dinner/game night! So, it's nice to have the house a little quieter than usual!!!! :)

But, that's been our day so far! I guess that's all the excitment that will happen today! :)

About Today

Hello Ladies!

Hope you are all doing well! Today was quite busy, but fun!

This morning, we left at 11:10 to go to the Latah fire station to play music! We were honoring our veterans there. It was pretty fun. I actually had a LOT of fun! :) We came home at 3:15, which was pretty long.... :) Oh well! When we got home, we rested for a few minutes, then Dani, Amanda, and myself went on a bike ride!!! It was TONS of fun. It was really nice and hot, so it made a REALLY nice bike ride time. It was just SO fun!!!

Then, later this evening, we had a picnic together as a family. It was a PERFECT evening, not to many mosquitoes, and it was just PERFECT!!! We had a ton of fun.

It is 8:40, and I think mom is going to read to us now!!! :)

Oh my!

Hello Ladies!

We are so sorry we haven't updated you on things lately.... its been since last Saturday! eek!!!

OK, yesterday was Sunday. That was a VERY busy day. We went to church, and after church, we went to a friends house. That was a lot of fun. We played croquet, we had DELICIOUS food ( :) ), went and saw their little goat kids (and kittens!!!), and lots of other stuff too! It was a LOT of fun. We were pretty worn out when we got in the car.

Next, we stopped at the hospital, to see Mrs. Browning (Irie Browning's mom... Irie visits our site), who is pretty sick, and they don't know yet what is wrong... (their whole family would appreciate prayer...) so, then we headed home.

I was pretty worn out by that time! Mom read to us for awhile, then we plopped into bed! I fell asleep REALLY soon after!!! :)

And now it is Monday morning, and we are going to be playing at a Memorial Day thingy in Latah. That should be interesting! But, we are SO sorry we haven't updated lately.

Wedding!

Hello Ladies!!

Today was Annalisa's wedding! It was VERY fun! We are home, all tired and drained! But, we had a wonderful time. We will have to post more details later. It was lots of fun, and it was a blessed time. We ladies got our hair done, and it was VERY VERY fun! :) Anyway, I don't have time to write much, because Silas (our cousin) and his wife, Jamie are coming over VERY soon, so we have to be ready for them! :)

I forgot!

Hi again!

I forgot to say a couple things. I am going to try and post a few pictures of the sheep shearing if I can figure out how to do that. :)

Also, the lady that is loaning us the kid said that when a kid has it's tongue sticking out (our's did) that means that the bag that the baby is supposed to come out in has burst inside her, and the kid has swallowed a bunch of the fluids, and that is probably the reason our kid died. She said that when that happens to her kids, she holds them up by their feet and pats them and shakes them till all the fluid comes out. It sounds kind of mean to me, but I guess that's what you have to do to help them! So, I think that's all I was going to say... Have a good day!!

Busy Day

Hello!

Yesterday morning was pretty rough... It's especially hard to hear Coneja "crying" and searching for her baby. :( We were in contact with a lady that lives nearby, and she brought over a white and brown kid for us to borrow, to see if he would nurse from Coneja. We wanted to have a backup so that if we needed to go somewhere, and wouldn't be back for milking in time, we could just leave the kid with Coneja. They haven't bonded yet, and he hasn't nursed off her yet. So, that's what we will be praying for, and would appreciate your prayer for.

In the afternoon, and older man came down to shear our sheep for us! It was amazing to watch him pull the sheep onto their backs and they are totally unable to do anything while they are on their backs! He did each one in less than 5 minutes, and only charged $5 per sheep, besides the setup fee! It was really fun to watch, and I took lots of pictures. :)

In the evening, we went to Fairfield (about 30 minutes away) and played some music for a Mother-Daughter banquet, and even got a free meal! :) It went well.

We are going to be pretty busy for the rest of the week. We are actually making 800 meatballs for the wedding reception which is on Saturday! I think we have about 500 made right now! We are also going up on Friday to help cut veggies for the reception, go shopping, and see if there is any other way we can help the Craig family. On Saturday, Mom is going to take Dani, Emily and I up to the church where the wedding is going to be, to get our hair done by the woman who is doing all the bridesmaids hair! So, we are really excited about the wedding!

I hope you all are having a wonderful week! So far, ours has been really nice! Our violin teacher is coming out any minute to go over our songs, because our recital is this Sunday! Please keep us in your prayers! Thank you very much for each of your friendships! We love you all!!

Country Gals

Hello Girls! :)

This morning, most of the morning, we have been working on scooping out the animal pen. :) Eeek!! It's a big job! Its a big mess, so we (Greg, and the three of us girls) were out there scooping it out. We would take turns, Dani and Amanda would scoop, and Greg and I would throw it over the edge! :) We still have a LOT of stuff to do, so hopefully we will be able to get it done in good time. :)

OK, today or tomorrow is Coneja's due date! :) We were monitoring her last night, by putting a baby monitor outside with her, but around 4:00 in the morning, I woke up to static on our "listening" part! :) I woke Dani up, and we went out to check on it. It had rained and kinda ruined it. It's OK now, but she didn't have her baby last night. Hurry up, Coneja! :) Anyway, back to my original sentence! :) We had her over with the buck for 3 days, so we are not sure WHEN her actual due date is... hopefully soon! :) Anyway, I have to go eat lunch so that we can finish the pen! :)

Party Time!

Hello Ladies! :)

Happy Mother's Day! (hehehe!!) I hope you had a blessed Sunday and all. We are having a party with the family and all. Grandpa and Grandma just got here, so I will have to make this very short, but anyway.... :) We played at the nursing home for about a 1/2 hour. :)

Our goat is due today! Please pray the delivery will go well (and that she will have it today!!)! :)

Hi Girls,
I guess Amanda told you about our day yesterday in town. But I 'll tell you about our day today.
Today we have been pretty busy, keeping the children happy and such. Right now Dani, Amanda and Emily are busy taking care of some of our growing tomato plants.
We are just working on other things around the house.
Such as watching the younger children.
also we were checking the goats. (she isn't a buck though like the picture) The one goat Coneja (Spanish for rabbit) she is getting bigger and she might (we don't know) have a baby.

Well, that is part of the day.

Our busy day...

Hello, ladies!

I'm sorry we haven't kept you all updated very well recently... we have been pretty busy with school and such! :) You all know how that goes!

Anyway, I thought I would tell you about today. Mom took the four of us girls up to town to do some shopping (Wal*Mart, Christian Bookstore, Goodwill... etc! :) and such. We left an hour later than we planned, so it got pretty late very quickly! :) After awhile of shopping, we got to go to our friend's house- the one that is getting married. We were able to help with some things, which was really fun! We packed our friend's things, helped prepare some food, helped clean (they are having a lot of company this next week) and things like that! It was very very fun! After all the work was done, we all sat down to have tea, fruit and cookies. It was very nice to have a visit with them. They are such a blessing to us! (The whole Craig family)

After leaving the Craigs, we made a couple more stops, then headed home. We girls just had dinner, and now it is 8:39! It has been a lovely day!

I'm so sorry ladies! :) We have been pretty busy and have only had time to add pictures! Thank you for being so faithful to keep checking our blog! :)

Ok! :) Today, mom has been working on a cross-stitch for someone that is getting married this next week. So, she had us (instead of doing school) watch the children. That went well! :) She is still working on it right now. We were able to get our music practice done (because some music things are coming up right now that we are going to need to practice up for!)! We actually had a lot of fun. We are working on making our music sound more interesting! :)

I just finished giving Leah a bath, and before that, we were making a dessert for the wedding (I think!)!! :)

So, not much has been going on... but we would appreciate prayer, because there are several music things coming up, that I am praying will go well! :)
