Hannah ~
On Saturday evening, we went to a Christian Heritage picnic, where families get together, have a picnic (of course!), talk, play games, and fellowship. We met some very neat girls (which we were delighted to find out that we know about their blog!!), and had a wonderful, wonderful time of fellowship.

Oh - also, we practiced music with our bass player on Friday night. We got to play for a music festival in Newport, but we had to have two hours of gospel music to play. So, we had to pull out some old songs and work those up so that we would have enough to play!!
Apparently Peanut was bored of listening... :)
Skipping back a little, it was a 2 hour drive to get to the festival. Leah had fun though; she got to try on Greg's sunglasses. She is pretty funny. :)
After stopping for some lunch, we went to a Grandparent's Day celebration. We were "invited", because Hannah had entered a contest for writing the best essay about "Why Your Grandparent should be the Grandparent of the Year". :D The winner received $100. So, we went to the celebration, and Hannah was one of the winners!!! Congratulations, Hannah!! ♥ She went up and read her essay to the group. :)
After that, we received some unexpected entertainment....
A One Man Band!!!
I'll end with this picture... :) Our grandma that had cancer rarely has places she wants to go, or things she wants to do, but she wanted to go to the fair this year. So a few of us, along with her caregiver went to the fair. So here's a picture of a few that went.
Congrats Hannah!!!

The picnic was delightful. How exciting, too, that Hannah won that contest! What does she plan to do with the money?
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for sharing the "one man band". The photo itself was quite entertaining--I can only imagine what the performance was like!
