The rehearsal day was really wonderful. We were able to decorate the church in a short amount of time and have time to relax and be together as families afterwards.
|
The sanctuary was beautiful- we put up paper flowers, chalkboard signs, and candles in jars. |
|
Yes, we had to provide Kleenex boxes for the people in the front row. :) |
|
Sam was snapping pictures throughout the weekend. He did a great job. I especially love this picture that he took of the decorations for the pews. |
|
Mom worked tirelessly on this sign in the last few days before the wedding.
If you can't see it very well, it says "I have found the one whom my soul loves" from Song of Solomon. |
|
The beautiful doors that we set up on stage.
Mom worked very hard to fix these up. :) |
|
Figuring out where to stand before the actual rehearsal began
was a really good idea. It really cut down on rehearsal time in the
evening and allowed us to focus on other important things. |
After decorating the sanctuary, we had lunch, talked, and decorated the gym. Around 5:30, we started rehearsing. Everything went very well. We could hardly believe that we were really practicing for the wedding! |

Rebekah made a beautiful bridesmaid. |
|
It was my first time being in a wedding, so it was very fun to
be a bridesmaid for Dani. |
|
Tim's sister, Lydia, was in the wedding as well.
We had a blast being bridesmaids together. |
|
Emily did an amazing job. |
|
Amanda got to be the Maid of Honor! How fun for her to be
able to adjust the dress for pictures, hold Tim's ring and Dani's
bouquet, and be Dani's personal assistant. |
|
Leah did a great job being a flower girl. |
|
Practicing for the big day! |
After the rehearsal, guests started arriving for the dinner. During that time, we had a couple that did a re-enactment of Tim's proposal to Dani. It was very accurate. :) This picture is really blurry, but I was shaking pretty hard with laughter. :)
We also did a game where we asked the couples (Dad and Mom, Tim and Dani, and Mr. and Mrs. Cover) random questions like "Who is most organized?" Then the couples (sitting back to back) would hold up the shoe of the person they thought was most organized. It was pretty funny watching them come up with their answers.
After the rehearsal, people left, and we headed home to sleep before the big day arrived!
It looks like everything's going along smoothly! What is on the chalkboards?
ReplyDeletePray for you all on the big day!

Thank you for praying for us on the wedding day, Hope! It was very exciting to witness God's working through that time.
DeleteThe chalkboard signs had verses from 1 Corinthians 13 on them. Emily and Mom did a great job on those! They really added a lot to the aisle, although they did make great tripping hazards. :)
Blessings,
~Hannah
LOL! I can imagine! Hope nobody trips on the big day! Blessings!
DeleteCongrats to Tim and Dani! May the Lord richly bless you both. :)

Hi Martha Joy,
DeleteThanks for your comment! I can hardly believe people still check our blog. :) I'm trying to start blogging more, though, so keep checking for updates! :)
This post was very fun to write. Even now looking back on the pictures from last weekend, it really makes me smile, thinking of their special day! Yes, they are on their honeymoon now. They had some interesting adventures, though, because their electricity went out in their little cabin... besides that, they are doing great!
Have a wonderful day, Martha Joy!
