I want to thank all of you for praying for me. I am feeling a lot better today. That is a blessing to me to know that my friends are praying for me during sickness and all! :) So thank you very much.
I just wanted to share a little with you about what a normal day for me is at our home.
I usually get up at 5:30 along with my other 2 sisters, Amanda and Emily. We exercise in our room (calisthenics), then I shower, then have my own quiet time with the LORD. It is a wonderful time to just spend studying God's Word and to pray. Since most of the house is still quiet at this point, I am able to have that time to meditate on the LORD. It has brought me closer to Him, and that is my life purpose. So after I have my devotions, I usually go with the girls, and we feed our animals, then we come inside and make breakfast. My dish chore is washing dishes, so I get that done after we eat, then I help get the little ones out of bed. Dressing and all the preparation for the little ones takes a good amount of time, so we usually all help! :) Then for school which we start around 8:30, I have math, history, science, Bible, character, literature, home ec. and a few other things. Then the other thing we do is a LOT of music! I play classical violin and classical piano, which I greatly enjoy. The LORD has blessed us with tremendously wonderful teachers, and they have taught us a lot the last few months. We have had music lessons for 9 years, and last year, we had to chance teachers, but it has been a blessing! :) During school, mid-way into the morning, we as a family usually all sing hymns together (Greg plays the piano for us, and the rest of us sing) and we all love that. Then after a few hymns, we read some scripture together and discuss it. By 2:30 or 3:00, I am usually done with school, but it depends on the day. In the free time I have when Mom doesn't need help with the little ones, I enjoy reading books, talking with my sisters, writing letters or emails, and hand projects. Around 4:00 then, my sisters and I go and feed the animals, and Leah always likes to come along. (Leah is almost 2 now, and we will add some pictures of her here also!). Dinner time rolls around and usually a couple of us girls prepare that, and we eat some time between 5:30 and 6:00. We have evening devotions at the table or after dish chores usually. I wash the dishes, then depending on devotion times and whether we have special time (I will explain about this too) or not, I write in my journal along with my sisters. Then in the evenings, we spend time with the little ones, then around 8:00, they go to bed, and Mom likes to read to the 5 of us oldest until Dad gets home from work around 9:30-10:00. So it is a full day, and all things change in different ways, but it is a wonderful blessing to be surrounded with all my siblings and family! I love it!
Well, I have to go read history with my sisters now, but I will explain about Special time and our journals and more about our family as time goes on! :) I hope that you enjoy reading more as we post.
