I know we have been pretty bad a keeping up with latest events, but instead of doing a different post about each thing, I thought I might just combine a bunch of pictures in one post and write about them. The LORD has kept us all pretty busy, and we are learning so much in this season of life. I have been greatly refreshed through our church, and I was talking to Mr. A., (he does most of the teaching for our church) and he encouraged me in many ways, but also reminded me that as part of the body of Christ, I have a part there. I asked him what he thought my place could be as a young lady. He said that I have a great influence over the young ladies in our church, just as the younger men look up to the older men, so the little girls look up to the young ladies. And do I invest my time in them, or am I coming to church to GET encouraged? These were thought I had after he and I talked. My Mother has said that a lot too, and sometimes it's easy to forget the place we have and how people look up to us or just are watching our actions. We profess to be Christians, so do we live that way all the time? We have the whole world watching us as we even just go out for groceries or to the library. Are we making a difference for Christ and being separate from the world? Just some thoughts going around in my head today. :)
As I was reading in my Bible during my quiet time, I came across this verse that was so encouraging to me:
"Come unto me , all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For I my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." ~Matthew 11:28-30
Anyways, enjoy the pictures. I pray that you may be encouraged in the LORD this week as you seek His best for your life and read His Holy Word!!
Hannah and Leah were having fun making a "train" with bikes, bouncy balls and the twins were also involved with their bikes as well! :) They have so much fun together, and I am thankful for each of my little brothers and sisters!
Amanda and Leah - we were at a friend's home taking lots of pictures.
A sweet friend of ours and Emily
A very cute picture of Leah that Emily took in the fall!
Greg was taking some nice portraits of Sam the other day, and I just grabbed my little camera and took a couple as well (nothing compared to my talented brother's photography!!!)
Rebekah was a bit dressed up. What a pretty smile!!!
Greg was really having fun, but these were the best faces of the twins. :) Greg is such a wonderful big brother!!! So much fun too!
Samuel, on his much-used bike!! :) See the streak marks on the kitchen floor?
Leah was so dirty after playing outside in the snow when we had a storm. :) She had fun though.
This was quite a while ago, but before we got any snow, we decided to dig up our potatoes. We didn't think they did too well, but we got a bucket full. :) Em was holding one of the biggest ones.
Amanda making dinner a while back. She's SO wonderful in the kitchen!!!
Our silly cat!!! He was just laying under this carpet and I was glad I got his face up close :)
The other view of Rebekah's favorite cat "Orangie" laying under the rug. :)
Isn't this adorable? Emily is quite the photographer too! :) I decided to post a few that she took.
Sam loves helping when he can do a job. :) He looks like a little man here!
Emily was very inspired to try some new recipes out of her cook book she just got, and this was on of our favorite breakfasts!!!! YUMMY!! I think Hannah liked it too.
Just a cute picture of Leah outside. I think Emily took this one.
Very fun pictures! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMiss you all...

Thank you so much for the post Dani! I thought it was interesting, neat and encouraging so I had to push all the buttons! :)
ReplyDeleteIt is so true that as young ladies we need to invest in the lives of the younger girls. Thank you for the reminder! I do think that it is important also to be encouraged by others and come away from church with things to think about ourselves. Just so long as it is not our soul purpose, and we don't forget others! :) (Something that God has to keep reminding me about.:))
By the way, the picture of your Samuel all dressed up and posed looks so much like my brother, Samuel, at that age!
May God bless you!

Raquel, Thank you for commenting! :) I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. It was very fun for me to put together. I have so many blessings, I want to share some of that with you all.
ReplyDeleteSarah, I am so glad that you enjoyed my post. Thank you so much for the reminder about church. You are right. Encouragement spurs us on to more godliness!!
That's funny that your brother looked like mine does now. :) Thank you again for the comment, Sarah!
