I have been quite busy on my sewing machine lately, and I am having such fun. I forgot how enjoyable it is, but also how much work it takes to sew something that is nice and that fits well. :) I am so thankful for my Mom and her many skills and help to me as I learn more sewing skills. Aren't mothers Amazing?!?! Here are a few pictures of a couple of my most recent projects.
This was my first jumper after I cut it all out. I had to zig zag all the outside edges to begin with.
It was coming together. Some of the pieces were much harder to put together than others! :) But with many pins and some suggestions from Mom, it came together.
SEWING!!!!
This took me a few days to complete since I couldn't sew all day, but it was very exciting to have it all finished.
I love this jumper pattern. It was a lot of fun!!! I just wished it was slightly longer. :)
So much so, that I started cutting out my next jumper :). These red flower jumpers are going to be for our music shows we are preparing for in Arizona in February. So I had material for mine (we didn't have the girls' pattern yet) and started sewing. :)
Wearing my new jumper as I'm making the next one. :)
Do any of you enjoy sewing? Have you done any sewing projects lately?
The LORD bless you,
Aw! You are so pretty, and the dress is too. I understand what you mean by wishing it were longer. Just be grateful, dear, that you are not six-feet tall. :-D I can’t wait to see a picture of your new jumper!

Thank you, Ladies, for all your comments! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment on our blog.
ReplyDeleteKeilah, It has been a while! Thank you for your comment. Thank you for the compliments on my dress. It was actually very fun, challenging at times, but fun, especially in the end!! :) Yes, I can always find something to thank the LORD for! Thank you for reminding me.
Raquel, Thank YOU for your comment too. I'm glad you like it on me. :) I actually finished the red jumper a couple days after the pictures. I can put it on and post that picture I guess. :) I'm also now making ANOTHER one (because I love the pattern so much)and the red one is for our performances in February. :) I'm also going to be making Hannah's and Mom's as well. The girls are making theirs today actually. :) BUSY sewing season.
Lucia, Thank you so much for your sweet words. :) I'm glad you like the color. I thought I'd like to try green. My next one is purple, and I'm excited about that one. I'll be fun to have all our matching jumpers done too, because we're making a different pattern for the little girls, but the same material which will be SO fun to match. We'll have to take pictures of us all when they are done. :)
Thank you again for your sweet comments. The LORD bless you all! ~Dani
